Jamaican arrested following seizure of high-powered weapon

A Jamaican man was arrested following the seizure of an assault rifle and 4 rounds of ammunition throughout an operation on Tavern Drive, Kingston 6 on Sunday, January 22.

The person’s id is being withheld pending additional investigations.

In keeping with police experiences, at about 6:20 p.m., officers have been patrolling the world once they observed a bunch of males appearing suspiciously.

The lads have been approached, and a bag seen of their space was searched. One Palmetto rifle with {a magazine} containing 4 5.56 rounds of ammunition was discovered.

An investigation was launched and the proprietor of the bag was subsequently taken into custody.
